Mission Accomplished

Calling all Alexander Ovechkin fans.
Tonight is the night every fan has been waiting for since his NHL debut in 2005. Alexander Ovechkin will finally take to the ice for his first NHL playoff game of his young career. Ovechkin and the Capitals will face-off against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight in game one of their first round playoff match-up. The sixth seeded Flyers will be looking to shut down the NHL's leading scorer but that will be easier said than done. Ovie scored a league best 65 goals this season and since day one as a Capital he's been on a mission to lead this team into the playoffs.
One of the best things about watching Ovechkin play is the way he celebrates after a goal. Although his goal celebrations are highly criticized I love the energy and enthusiasm he brings to the game. He celebrates every goal as if it's his last. It is his love and passion for the game that makes him such a phenomenal hockey player. When he's out there he's out there to score, and even if it's not him scoring goals he celebrates as if it was. Players such as Chris Drury, Joe Sakic and Scott Neidermayer are so boring after they score goals because it's always the same old thing. "Oh well I scored again, no big deal we won the game." One example of this is a video of Chris Drury scoring an overtime winner in the 2001 playoffs with Colorado and he just shrugs his shoulders like it was nothing. Ovechkin scores a regular season goal and almost jumps through the glass; I love it. Who wouldn't get excited, you're in the NHL!! We need more guys like Ovechkin that have that drive to score every shift.
Posted below is a collection of Ovechkin goal celebrations.

I can't wait to see Ovie score a goal in the playoffs, I hope he jumps through the glass this time!
